South africa's world-renowned wildlife reserve

Kruger is Africa’s first National Park, and its vastness is nearly the size of New Jersey. It is home to a bountiful and diverse ecosystem, and boasts the Big Five of Africa, the lion, leopard, black rhinoceros, African elephant, and the Cape buffalo. Bird-watching enthusiasts will be delighted by the 500+ species of birds found in the park, including awe-inspiring raptors and endangered vultures. With hiking paths, cycling paths and routes to travel in our luxurious game viewing vehicles, there are plenty of options for observing the breathtaking beauty of the animal life.

Marloth Park, within which VIDA NOVA KRUGER is located, is heavily populated with protected game. You will share the roads with giraffes, zebras, impalas, warthogs, wildebeest, kudus, bushbucks, monkeys, baboons, brilliantly plumed birds, and many other magnificent creatures. The boundary fence along Kruger National Park provides a 9km hiking trail, and an opportunity to see elephants, hippos, and lions while walking in safety.

Where to stay

Vida Nova Kruger overlooks Kruger National Park’s Crocodile River. After a day spent encountering Africa’s renowned animals, our guests will enjoy an evening Braai (the South African art of grilling meat and vegetables over an open fire) on our viewing deck, watching wildlife approach the river, while lions roar in the distance. In the yard below, warthogs, giraffes and other wildlife are often spotted grazing.
